It’s taken a lot of work, but we’re right where we want to be. If we stay the course then our kickstarter backers don’t have much longer before books start showing up at front doors.
Timeliness has been at the forefront of our process since the beginning. Like a reliable friend, we want to show up when we say we will. According to Kickstarter, 84% of last year’s top projects shipped late. We’re aiming to be part of the 16% that ship on time.
Right now we’re ironing out the final pieces of the manufacturing process. Parts of the books and packages have already been produced—and in a week or two all of the components will be ready to be packaged, sealed, and shipped to the Baron Fig team. Once they’re received and processed we’ll do our best to have them turned around and shipped to our backers as soon as possible.
As far as shipping goes, there’s still a lot to be done before we send out 8,760 books to 4,242 Kickstarter backers (from 48 countries) in January. Shipping is the task at hand for us here in the Baron Fig studio while the books are being manufactured. The logistics involved in making sure several thousand packages safely travel throughout the world is a large task—but we’re making solid headway. By the time the books are received we plan on having all the pieces in place to get them out the door quickly.
In the meantime, we hope you all end the year with joy and love in your homes. We can’t tell you enough how much your support has meant to us throughout this process, from inception to kickstarting and beyond. From the tiny tips of our toes to the silky strands on our heads—thank you.
